Since the first show in 1901 to a crowd of 4,000, the Chicago Auto Show has grown to be one of the largest as the best attended auto show in North America. The Chicago Automotive Trade Association (CATA) works hard at producing the premier automotive show and are always pursuing new and interesting ways to promote the event. Like any association event, the ultimate goal is to increase the number of exhibitors and attendees year over year. The Chicago Auto Show installed two TrueLook cameras on the showroom floor that went live three weeks before the event to facilitate the show set-up. Manufacturers from around the world were able to monitor the installation of their exhibits. During the show, automobile enthusiasts were able to see the latest and greatest cars, even if they couldn’t attend the show in person. The Chicago Auto Show has installed TrueLook cameras on the show floor for the fourth year in a row. Hundreds of thousands of people have viewed millions of images of the show live from around the world since 2002. Due to the continued growth of the show, this year adding 370,000 square feet to its footprint, the CATA will be installing five cameras throughout two show halls.
