TrueLook Starts the Year off Right, Capturing its 4 Billionth Image

On Saturday, January 23, 2021 TrueLook captured its four billionth image from Johnson Controls’ construction camera documenting the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, or “Children’s” as it commonly referred to.

Billions of images are beginning to stack up faster and faster as clients consistently rely on camera technology to document their jobsites. It wasn’t until March 29th, 2019 when TrueLook captured its one-billionth image. Just over a year later, on April 2, 2002, image number two billion was captured. Image three billion came a short five months later in August of 2020.

Another five months later and we are celebrating this four-billionth image captured at Children’s brand new facility, opened in May of 2009. Rather than renovate the previous facility, the decision was made to completely rebuild. Building from the ground up offered the benefit of designing a completely new infrastructure system, rather than having to tie into legacy systems.

Johnson Controls worked to provide Children’s with a system that incorporates “an unprecedented level of technology to improve patient care, reduce human error, and improve patient, visitor and staff safety while providing operating efficiencies to manage costs effectively.”
