Procore Integration
In commercial construction, winning the contract is only the beginning. The real test comes in delivering the work safely, on time, and within budget, while giving clients confidence that their investment is in good hands.
For Dimension Construction, Inc., a Memphis-based general contractor specializing in restaurant and light commercial builds, that commitment to transparency has been the cornerstone of its reputation since opening its doors in 1993.
But in an era where project owners expect real-time access to progress and immediate answers to questions, traditional updates weren’t enough. Sending a few site photos at the end of the week could only provide a partial story. Dimension Construction wanted something more immediate, more complete, and more collaborative.
The Challenge
Dimension Construction’s portfolio includes fast-track projects for brands like Zaxby’s, where schedules often run just 90–120 days from groundbreaking to grand opening. The pace leaves little room for misunderstandings. Project managers needed a way to keep owners in the loop without adding more administrative burden to already tight schedules.
Static photography had long been the standard. It’s helpful for documenting milestones, but limited to isolated moments in time. Clients still had questions between updates, and answering them often meant phone calls, emails, or site visits that pulled superintendents away from critical work.
"Our goal wasn’t just to show clients what we wanted them to see, we wanted them to have the ability to see exactly what was happening, when it was happening."

The Solution: Always-On Jobsite Visibility
Dimension Construction adopted TrueLook’s 2K Fixed Camera and platform solution—a rugged, construction-grade system offering live streaming, high-resolution time-lapse, and 24/7 security recording. The camera’s 2K infrared (IR) resolution, 4–6 mm focal length, 79° horizontal field of view, and 50-meter IR range ensured clear, detailed imagery in all lighting conditions, day or night. Available for lease, the hardware was designed for the demands of active jobsites and integrated seamlessly with the TrueLook platform.

Installed on each active site, the cameras provided clients with a secure, continuous window into their projects:
- Live Video Feeds: Owners could log in anytime to view progress in real time and spot potential issues as they happened, with IR capability enabling visibility in low-light or overnight conditions.
- Automated Time-Lapse: Condensed visual records showed the entire build from start to finish, ideal for both progress tracking and marketing.
- Recorded Video Playback: Footage provided indisputable documentation for schedule changes, delivery delays, or disputes, while also serving as a security layer to deter theft, monitor after-hours activity, and verify site access.

One of the biggest advantages came from TrueLook’s integration with Procore, the project management platform already used by Dimension Construction. Clients could view live feeds directly within their existing dashboards—no extra logins, no extra training.
“It’s more than convenience,” says Wofford. “It’s about building trust. When a client can see the jobsite without waiting for us to tell them what’s going on, it changes the relationship.”
TrueLook CEO Roger Yarrow agrees, adding: “Construction is built on relationships, and relationships are built on trust. When we give contractors and owners the ability to see the job from anywhere, at any time, we’re removing uncertainty. That changes the conversation from ‘What’s going on?’ to ‘How can we work together to solve this?’
The Impact: Transparency That Protects Relationships
In fast-track construction, delays are inevitable. Weather events, late deliveries, or subcontractor no-shows can shift timelines by days or weeks. Before cameras, those conversations relied on memory and phone records. Now, project teams can pull exact footage from the date and time in question, giving clients a clear, objective account of what happened. The result isn’t finger-pointing; it’s clarity.
“If there’s a delivery truck that didn’t arrive or a piece of equipment stuck on another jobsite, the owner can see it for themselves,” Wofford explains. “It takes the tension out of those conversations.”
Operational Benefits Beyond Client Relations
While cameras were initially deployed as a client-facing transparency tool, Dimension Construction quickly discovered internal advantages:
- Proactive Problem Solving: Managers can spot potential issues like incorrect material placement or unsafe conditions before they escalate.
- Portfolio Oversight: For clients managing multiple locations, the ability to check progress remotely reduces the need for in-person visits.
- Reduced Travel: Superintendents can focus on priority sites while still keeping eyes on other active projects.
Even with live cameras in place, Dimension Construction still prioritizes in-person visits for relationship-building. “Technology doesn’t replace face-to-face interaction,” Wofford notes. “It enhances it by making sure every visit is focused and productive.”

ROI in Trust and Reputation
For Dimension Construction, the return on investment isn’t measured solely in cost savings, but in the confidence and trust earned from clients—a competitive advantage in the Southeast’s crowded construction market.
As a small business, every purchase is carefully considered, and technology investments aren’t made on a whim. The fact that Dimension Construction has made TrueLook part of its standard toolkit speaks volumes. “For what you get with these cameras, it’s a no-brainer,” Wofford says. “And when we can fold the cost into a project budget, it becomes an easy decision, especially for the visibility and peace of mind it delivers.”
“The cameras aren’t just equipment,” Wofford adds. “They’re a promise. We’re showing clients that we have nothing to hide. We’re as committed to their project as they are.”
Looking Ahead
As technology adoption accelerates in the construction industry, Dimension Construction plans to continue leveraging TrueLook’s camera-and-platform solution as a standard part of its project toolkit. While their current use focuses on live viewing, time-lapse, and recorded playback, TrueLook’s platform continues to evolve, now offering AI-powered object detection, AI-powered PPE detection, activity trend analysis, and people forecasting to help contractors make data-driven decisions.
For Dimension Construction, the priority remains giving clients clear, accessible visibility into every jobsite. TrueLook’s integrated hardware and software have become everyday operational assets and a visible commitment to transparency and accountability. In a business where reputation is built one project at a time, Dimension Construction proves that the right technology doesn’t just document the work; it strengthens trust and builds relationships that last well beyond project completion.
