Wide, continuous coverage

PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom)

Flexible coverage + sharp

- Wider range, but one area at a time → pan, tilt, and zoom across the site, but only shows what it’s pointed at now
- Best for security monitoring, live remote check-ins, and incident investigation
- In some cases, one PTZ camera can provide enough coverage to replace multiple fixed-position cameras
Zoom Explained
Digital Zoom
Available on both PTZ and fixed cameras
- Crops and enlarges the existing image
- Can make images look pixelated or blurry at higher zoom levels
- Useful for quick checks but limited for compliance or evidence needs
Optical Zoom
Unique to PTZ cameras since they have robotic zoom functionality
- Uses the camera’s robotic lens to magnify the scene in detail
- Provides clear, sharp images even at long distances
- Ideal for capturing faces, license plates, or activity across large jobsites
Resolution Explained
Most jobsites are fully covered with 2K or 4K. 8K is valuable when extreme detail is required for safety,
legal, or marketing needs.
(Infrared) IR Night Vision Explained
IR (Infrared)
Allows cameras to capture clear footage in complete darkness; essential for security and monitoring after hours
Non-IR
Relies on ambient light — works fine for daylight monitoring or well-lit sites, but not ideal for unlit perimeters
If jobsite security is a concern, IR is a must.
Solar Size
Solar panels are an excellent way to power your jobsite from any location. Solar batteries last for
five or more days, working long after any overcast days. Here’s a chart of what you get:

Optimize your solar cameras by ensuring:
1. Panels are Clear
Ensure nothing is blocking the solar panel from the sun: Trees, buildings, and shadows they cast
throughout the day.
2. Battery Position
Set the battery enclosure a maximum of 10 feet off the ground for easy access. You can keep it locked
for extra security.
3. Winter Preparation Plans
Northern locations have longer overcast days. Consider another solar panel for additional
charging power, a charged backup battery, or plug the TrueLook camera into a generator with 110V power input.
